Located in Sugar Land, TX, INSPIRATION STAGE is a Fort Bend County performing arts studio and theatre dedicated to empowering and encouraging students ages four to 18. SUMMER CAMPS abound at iStage. Pick and choose from 22 including Cinderella, Movie Musicals, 101 Dalmatians, Shrek, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Annie, High School Musical, Jungle Book, Dear Edwina, Sleeping Beauty, Disney Princess, Seussical, Little Mermaid, Pinkalicious, Modern Musicals, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, and our twice-nationally-awarded, audition-only Junior Theatre Festival 2017 competition troupe.
Audition for and perform in our five featured YOUTH PRODUCTION: Pinkalicious, Shrek Jr., John Lennon and Me, and James and The Giant Peach Jr. We also have opportunities for adult performers in our ADULT SEASON with RENT, and Legally Blonde The Musical as well as a combined YOUTH / ADULT PRODUCTION of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

A group of friends deal with love, loss, AIDS, and modern day life in a truly powerful story from late composer / lyricist Jonathan Larson. Based on Puccini's opera La Boheme, Larson’s RENT tells the story of one year in the life of friends living the Bohemian life in modern day East Village, New York City, 1989-1990.
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT is a rock opera that quickly became a pop cultural phenomenon which deeply resonates with universal themes and truths about identity, belonging and redemption.

INSPIRATION STAGE EARNS NATIONAL ACTING HONORS
Of 93 participating troupes from 26 states nationwide, Inspiration Stage was one of twelve companies which earned an Excellence in Acting award from master adjudicators at the 2014 Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, GA. Castmates Maddie Lucas and Jack Patterson were given "All Star” awards and performed in a special musical number on the large stage for the festival audience of 4,000. Godspellers Cameron Lurie, Claire Domenic-Smith and Music Director Johnny Nichols Jr. were chosen to perform in the "Broadway Slam" on stage; Johnny also won a music direction award for that fete. Four Inspiration Stage actors were awarded "Golden Tickets" which were special invitations to audition for spots on Music Theatre International (MTI) Broadway Choreography DVDs including Liv Goodman, Claire Domenic-Smith, Madeleine Marlowe and Sydney Garcia. Throughout the three-day fest, students were treated to:
- Workshops lead by Broadway professionals
- "Pathways to Success" featuring an interview with Broadway talent including the inspirational tap dancer Evan Ruggiero who lost his leg to cancer and is still hoofin’ it:
- Freddie Gershon Teacher Awards (where Mandy Seymore-Sensat, Richard Gomez and Johnny Nichols Jr. performed)
- "Direct from Broadway" mini concert from composers / lyricists Pasek and Paul (James and the Giant Peach, Christmas Story, Smash and Dog Fight)
- "Broadway and Beyond" Disney Musicals evening concert featuring Broadway stars Merle Dandridge (Tarzan, Aida), Josh Strickland (Tarzan), Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King) and Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins)
- A fabulously fun Disney Disco Party
